I’m currently dealing with a pretty bad cold and while work is piling up I thought I’d take a “break” and post some images I’ve been working on. Back in the beginning of December I did a shoot with Angel out on Sauvies Island at the Bybee-Howell House. This was right before the really cold weather hit, it was still pretty chilly though. Definitely not short sleeve shirts or summer dress weather.

As the years progress I’m starting to refine my photography more and lean towards a specific genre, commercial lifestyle. Lifestyle photography is really a perfect fit for me. I love going on adventures in the outdoors and shooting lifestyle photography gives me plenty opportunities for that. I just love the interactions you get with lifestyle photography.

Two weeks ago I headed out to Central Oregon for a winter lifestyle shoot at this amazing cabin in Prineville. I was able to get the cabin through some very kind friends (Thanks Ben, Valorie and Angela!). This was my first big overnight on location shoot. I put it together very last-minute, about a week before we left, and somehow everything managed to work out really well. Granted I did learn a lot of things here and there that I will do differently next time.

Two weeks ago I did a fun stock photo shoot up at Rocky Butte with Meg and Linzy. I’ve worked with both Linzy and Meg a couple times over the years. The day before the shoot it poured all day and I was hopping it would this day as well so we’d get some great rain shots. Unfortunately it was pretty dry. Figures. The days you don’t want it to rain it rains and finally when you want it to rain it’s dry.

My friend Courtney Freed was in town for a week and hired me to shoot some portraits to use in her upcoming musical album debut.

I found Levi through Sports Unlimited while I was down in Southern California in October. He is a freerunner who has been seen on the Japanese game show Ninja Warrior, in which he was the last man standing out of 100 contestants. You can check out his reel at Freerunning Show reel. Freerunning/Parkour involves running, jumping, vaulting, climbing, acrobatics, etc. You can find more information about it at American Parkour.
